Is the Brutal Prince book spicy? ›

It's for sure a mafia romance, and was definitely spicy, but some of the deeper details and character building were definitely lacking in some areas. Because of this at moments the story line felt slightly rushed, but if given the opportunity I would read more of this series.

like seriously, this book is hot, spicy, full of twists and turns, it has witches, fairies, shifters and vampires, otherwordly magic and... did I say spice? Because holy gods and goddesses, there is spice.

If you love mafia romances with strong tension, enemies-to-lovers, and arranged marriages and are looking for an easy, quick read, I recommend reading “Brutal Prince.”

Brutal Prince is book 1 in the Brutal Birthright series, which is centered around this group of siblings in an Italian mafia family. It's an enemies to lovers, marriage of convenience mafia romance between two rival mafia families, which should've been PERFECT for me.

13-16 year olds can definitely read it, but more mature 11 year-olds and adults can enjoy it too. There's a bit more intimate romance in the later books, but not much, and for the most part, this is readable for all ages.

I did think the age-gap between Aida and Callum was a bit extreme and I don't think it would have detracted from the story had that gap been slightly smaller. That said, it is what it is and it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a fun and silly melodrama.

This mafia romance has a perfect balance of action and spice. I could not get enough of Simone/Dante. I would highly recommend this book, and I am looking forward to the other books in this series. Bloody Heart is the fourth book in the Brutal Birthright series by Sophie Lark.

Enjoyed reading all the books and they can be read as standalone. However I would suggest reading them in order as all the characters appear in all the books. Some books I enjoyed immensely hence why I read all of them!

It was definitely a dark romance, filled with brutality, murder, kidnapping, and sexual assault. The main characters hated each other with a deep passion – emphasis on the passion- but somehow their relationship worked, and they banded together into an impressive team. The writing itself was easy to sink into.

But I DEVOURED this book. A lot funnier than I expected it to be, and the slow burn had me giddy by the end. The spicy scenes were great and I loved the ending, which is honestly not something I can say often.

What is the reading order for Sophie Lark books? Start with the Brutal Birthright saga: Brutal Prince, Stolen Heir, Savage Lover, Bloody Heart, Broken Vow, Heavy Crown. Then read the Kingmaker saga: The Heir, The Rebel. Follow with the Underworld saga: Ivan, Snow, Roman, Dom, Anton, Nikolai, Luca, Black.

The Cruel Prince starts out with some extreme distain between Jude and Cardan, but after a shared goal forces them to spend a lot more time together… tensions of a different variety start to form between the two. Aside from some dangerously passionate kissing, I'll say the first book might be a little tame.

This is enemies to lovers at it's finest with a marriage of convenience & forced proximity added for good measure, brutal prince was a spicy romance I couldn't put down. Highly recommend!!

Believe me is the one with the most spice, it has explicit scenes. Spicy scenes in the other books are not as detailed. 4. My least favourite was definitely book one.
