Magical and beautiful, unicorns have long been a popular aspect of pop culture. From movies to TV shows, they have graced our screens with their mystical presence.
There are plenty of lovable unicorns, both animated and live-action, that have become favorite characters among many people.

9. Lady Rainicorn (Adventure Time)
Lady Rainicorn is a rainbow-colored, long unicorn creature from Adventure Time. She has the special ability to fly, pass through matter, and can use her horn to change the color of whatever she likes.
Lady Rainicorn is Princess Bubblegum’s best friend as well as her royal steed. She is also Jake’s girlfriend and often goes on adventures with Finn and Jake. Lady Rainicorn and Jake the Dog have five children together.
Lady Rainicorn only speaks Korean but she is able to use a translating device to speak English. She has a laid-back personality and enjoys interacting with her friends.
8. Rainbow Unicorn (Inside Out)
Rainbow Unicorn is a minor character in Inside Out that became a fan favorite. She lives at Dream Productions in Riley’s mind, where she stars in Riley’s dreams.
Rainbow Unicorn is an actress who sports a fabulous mane. She first appears when Joy, Sadness, and Bing Bong sneak into Dream Productions in order to see the unicorn in person. However, Joy, who is a big fan of Rainbow Unicorn, is too captivated by her presence to properly introduce herself.
When Joy and Sadness attempt to wake up Riley when entering one of her dreams, Rainbow Unicorn accidentally appears on camera attempting to sneak cupcakes and other snacks.
Later on, the unicorn is seen onstage performing a dance routine in front of an unimpressed audience. Rainbow Unicorn’s performance is abruptly interrupted when Jangles runs on stage.
7. Buttercup (Toy Story 3 & 4)
Buttercup is a plush unicorn that appears in Toy Story 3 and Toy Story 4. He has a white coat, golden horn, mane, tail, hooves, and two pink hearts for nostrils.
Despite Buttercup’s adorable appearance, he is often sarcastic. He is one of Bonnie’s toys and becomes best friends with Hamm, who is equally sarcastic.
Buttercup provides help to Woody, though he can be a bit oblivious from time to time. He is often chill but he does have a bit of a mischievous side.

Princess Luna is an Alicorn with a stunning dark coat best known for her role in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (2010-2019). She is also known as Nightmare Moon or Night Mare Moon, as she has the capability to transform.
Originally, Princess Luna ruled alongside her sister Princess Celestia. However, Princess Luna became transformed into a wicked mare of darkness by her bitterness and was banished by her sister. However, the Elements of Harmony eventually restored Luna to her former self and she returned to Equestria to rule alongside her sister.
5. Rarity (My Little Pony)
Rarity is a unicorn pony that is one of the main characters of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She has a lovely white coat with a luscious purple mane and tail.
Rarity is the older sister of Sweetie Belle and is Spike’s long-term crush. Rarity works as both a fashion designer and a seamstress. She has her own shop in Ponyville called the Carousel Boutique.
4. Twilight Sparkle (My Little Pony)
Princess Twilight Sparkle, more commonly known as Twilight Sparkle, is the central main character in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She is an Alicorn with a purple coat and purple and pink mane and tail who becomes a princess.
Twilight Sparkle is a studious unicorn who is tutored by Princess Celestia, who teaches her about friendship in the town of Ponyville.
Twilight Sparkle becomes close friends with Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. She discovers that she is an important part of the magical artifacts known as the “Elements of Harmony.”

Princess Celestia is the magnificent former co-ruler of Equestria and the older sister of Princess Luna in My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. She has a stunning appearance with a white coat and a flowing colorful mane and tail.
Princess Celestia is an Alicorn who is wise and kind. She is the idol and mentor of Twilight Sparkle. She is kind-hearted and slow to anger, while also being forgiving and even displaying a fun-loving side despite her role in power.
2. Charlie the Unicorn
Charlie the Unicorn is a viral video and an animated comedy short film series that first took the internet by storm in 2005. The first video in the series was uploaded twice to YouTube, with the two videos having over 100 million views combined.
The first installment of Charlie the Unicorn is only 3:46 minutes long and is full of peculiar comedy. Grouchy and lethargic, Charlie is convinced by his two unicorn friends to travel to Candy Mountain. To his surprise, Candy Mountain is actually a real place.
The video became so popular that five more Charlie the Unicorn videos were released on YouTube. Charlie became a pop culture sensation during the early 2000s to the 2010s.

The Unicorn, also known as Lady Amalthea, is the beloved star of the 1982 film The Last Unicorn. The movie is based on the 1968 novel of the same name by Peter S. Beagle.
After learning that she is the last one left of her species on Earth, a young unicorn goes on a quest to find out what happened to her kind.
During her journey to find the unicorn, she faces different hardships including dealing with a malevolent witch to an evil king.
The unicorn learns that a terrible entity known as the Red Bull has been herding her kind to the ends of the earth on orders of the king. Brave and noble, she puts herself in harm’s way to save her species.
